sdb logfile

I've attached the sdb log from the hung process.

I had a couple of problems writing the log on Windows - firstly, sdb didn't
like absolute paths as its log argument, probably because of the "C:\", and
exited. And on Windows the filename contained the ' quotes that MD puts around
the logfile value.
