I don't know if/when this will be done (666413 is a superior idea, but I'm not
sure about that either...).

That said, IF we follow this we shouldn't use __PackageName__, we should use
@PACKAGE_NAME@, as '_' is a valid character within permissions.  (As far as I
can tell from the code, '@' is also perfectly valid, but at least the pattern
@PACKAGE_NAME@ is considerably less likely to result in "conflicts" with
existing names.)
