Summary: Cannot create installer for program (with linker
                    enabled) that works under Lion.
    Classification: Mono
           Product: MonoMac
           Version: GIT
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Mac
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Critical
          Priority: P5 - None
         Component: Bindings
        AssignedTo: frego at novell.com
        ReportedBy: junk at bredband.net
         QAContact: mono-bugs at lists.ximian.com
          Found By: ---
           Blocker: ---

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_1)
AppleWebKit/534.48.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Safari/534.48.3

I cannot create an installer from a MonoMac project if I enable the linker. The
installer package will work fine if I disable the linker though.

Running the software without creating an installer package works just fine.

I did try to create a blank project in MonoDevelop and do the same thing. With
a small template project it does seem to work. I'll try to narrow it down to
when it breaks.

This actually seems to be a duplicate of a already present bug report:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=692462

which has been labeled as resolved. I'm seeing the same error and so on.

I've tried this on MD 2.6b3, 2.6rc1, 2.6rc2 & 2.8. I've tried MonoMac plugin v
2.6.0.1 & v 2.7.0.1, they all exhibit the same problem. (I'm guessing MMP is
the bad guy in this case.)

My system is Mac OS Lion 10.7.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a real application in MD, create an installer package with the linker
enabled.
2. Try to run installer/package.

Actual Results:
1. Immediate crash.

Expected Results:
1. Happy days.

I'll try to narrow it down if it's any specific library/function I'm using
that's causing the linker to create an invalid package, and update the bug
report.

If anyone is looking into this and can't reproduce it I'd be more than happy to
supply a project that reproduces the bug every time.
