Patch that appears to fix problem by changing marshing of XLookupString param

User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5
(KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.249.43 Safari/532.5

The effect of this can be dropped keypress's. 

Attached patch seems to fix's the issue, in my application.

I need to work out how to produce a small test case, demonstrate issue, I
haven't ruled out threading issues as the cause of this yet.
