Apologies, forgot I was trying to run it against net_3_5, but
mcs/class/lib/net_3_5 does not have an mscorlib.dll, so it was using the
system-installed one (2.6.7).

I guess the problem was the latest compiler with an older mscorlib.dll.

Aren't the compilers compatible with older versions of the mono runtime?
