Thanks Geoff and Gonzalo. This was driving us crazy since it happens randomly. 

Gonzalo - I had tried UnsafeAuthenticatedConnectionSharing earlier but since it
did not solve the issue, I removed it. 

I am assuming that this fixes both the HTTP 400 and 401 errors. Will test it
once I get my hands on the new version. 

Also, Would the next update of MonoDroid get this fix. I am looking forward to
porting our app there.
