Yeah, but it seems to me the "fix" on that other bug was just some kind of
quick tweak / hack, not a global solution or something that should also be done
for other controls. As in, control sizes shouldn't need to be changed if things
are already fine on Linux.

On the other hand, there's another possibility: if it's really a control size
issue, then that may mean that the Windows WinForms driver is correct, and that
it's the Linux driver that behaves incorrectly, and which should also truncate
texts in such cases. That would mean all controls were designed using an
incorrect text handling, and so the size and padding of *all* controls should
be tweaked so text is never truncated.
