I tried this in 2k10.  I don't think the error is specifically about changing
the variable.  If I change the variable in the tooltip, it works exactly as
expected.  However, when you double click the value in the Locals pad (which
would be to change it), VS crashes.  This is before you are even able to type a
new value for the variable.
