I've learned that this occurs by attempting to run my application via
command-line. If I create a package installer with Mono: Tools, and use the
shell script created by that process, it will run without the errors. However,
I can't seem to figure out how to run mono and my application as super user.
Some of the functionality that the application I'm running would need such
privileges.
