Ok, I would like to revert what I said in "Comment 1" as it is on another issue
(which might not necessarily be a bug).

The bug mentioned in the beginning is still there to be fixed (see bugreport).
To reproduce it: install system-wide mono 2.0.1 (ubuntu 9.04's default), then
try to compile mono 2.6.4 from the tarball. It will use system-wide mono
instead of its own monolite, and the build will fail.
