Would it be possible to have monodevelop or mtouch truncate or replace periods
in the main assembly name for any iPhone builds? Or even display a warning?
Or just have the build output produce a more obvious error?

I know this probably sounds a frivolous thing... but the standpoint I'm coming
from is that it's extremely easy to forget about this limitation.

For example- I usually go a few months without having to create a new iPhone
app project. That is enough time to forget... so naturally when I do create a
new project this limitation ALWAYS comes back to haunt me. I scratch my head
and can't figure out what is wrong... BUT then like an hour later I finally
remember this limitation... but it's too late and I've already lost like at
least an hour. It's just sort of one of those annoying things that keeps
coming back and could be made much better with just simply a better error
message.

Thanks
