Scott, going through the pcap files showed that metadata for p57 is not
correctly formed in the packet and hence the TDS error.

Some of the things we can do to fix it:

i) Obvious, a standalone test case, 
ii) if possible, a vpn access to your box that can reproduce this error
iii) replicate your test environment locally and debug and fix all the errors.

Let me know which would be convenient for you. :-)

meanwhile, I will do more research on the pcap to come-up with any possible
solution.
