Is there a specific reason why this bug was only fixed in trunk, but still
seems to be broken in the Mono 2.6.4 release?

(I'm sorry if this is explained anywhere, but I couldn't find any info on what
bugs are or are not fixed in the 2.6.x branch in the Contributors Guide, in the
Development plans or anywhere on the website.)
