Patch that fixes the issue.
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64;
Trident/5.0)
In .Net 4.0, the Socket class's IDisposable.Dispose implementation was changed
from an explicit interface implementation to a public method. However, in Mono
2.8.1 using the .Net 4.0 profile, the method is still explicitly implemented.
I have attached a patch with a fix for this issue.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to call the Socket.Dispose directly (without casting to IDisposable
first).
Actual Results:
If compiled using dmcs, the code doesn't compile. If compiled using Microsoft's
csc, the code will throw a MissingMethodException during runtime.
Expected Results:
I expected the Dispose method to have been made public in accordance with
Microsoft's .Net 4.0.
