Thanks for the update, Amir.

I'm pretty sure it will get fixed.  As you mentioned, it is marked critical. 
It is 1 of only 5 MonoDroid bugs marked critical, and it is definitely an
inconvenience to a lot of our users (particularly MonoTouch customers that want
to share code between the SDKs), so I promise you that we will fix it as soon
as we possibly can.

Unfortunately, it is still preview software.  Sorry for the inconvenience.
