Rick, I don't think that making a quick fix for this will take too long, but I
gotta catch a plane in a couple of hours. I'm also thinking that FtpWebRequest
needs a lot of love, not only for SSL support... Perhaps a rewrite is in order.

By now, there is no easy workaround. If I were you I would change to https and
add a .htaccess (apache) or similar on the files that require a user/password
to be read.
