Sorry for the bug spam, I should have closed the issue earlier.

The root cause of the whole problem was a memcpy bug glibc which caused
breakage of the whole mono runtime environment:

I'll close this bug as CLOSED/INVALID since it is not a problem in mono/gmcs.
