Sure, I'm working on it right now.

It looks like there's a race condition somewhere, because it occurs
sporadically, and so far only reproducible if you're accessing a web server _on
the same machine_.  I tried setting it up to go to a SSL authenticated site
(for an easier set up for a self-contained test case), but the delay is too
long.
