Actually, this has been fixed for 2.4 by ajorg. He has a patch that he applies
that forces it to use the mono from the mono extension.

So, as far as I'm concerned, this bug is resolved since it's fixed in 2.4 by
the patch and in trunk by martin's fix.

Marking it resolved.
