WRT comment 16, this needs to be fixed in 2.4 also because 2.4 is what the mono
extension (Mono-X) is based on.  Mono-X is a long term commercially supported
product and MonoVS needs to work correctly with it as it's also a deployment
target for RPMs built with MonoVS.
