Still having a similar error if I try to delete a host:

ERROR: 23503: update or delete on table "host" violates foreign key constraint
"hostlane_host_id_fkey" on table "hostlane"

Maybe this one just means that I should be removing the host from all lanes
before removing the host but in that case it should provide some sort or
warning and then work?
