I did a few queries and these are the short french dates as returned and
understood by MSSQL, like: "select convert(varchar, convert(datetime, ' 02
décembre 2009 00:00:00:000', 109), 109)". There's no trailing dot:

janv févr mars avr mai juin juil aout sept oct nov déc
