My term "attribute inheritance" is even worse than "redefined". Glad you
understood my problem anyway. As a spec reading hacker I agree with you as well
(as I wrote before). The problem is portability from .net -> mono. I'm not
gonna argue more about it; it's better to focus the energy on solving my
problem. 

Miguel offered an attractive way around this that I might consider (enable
patch via environment variable). Thank you for your input everybody.
