Which monodoc are you running?  Assuming you mean the monodoc from the
mono-tools svn repository, I'm unable to reproduce.  I'm using mono/mcs r133397
and mono-tools r133402, and monodoc starts without any problem for me.

Are you using an svn version of Gtk# or your system version of Gtk#?  I'm using
the system version of Gtk# (by doing `export
MONO_GAC_PREFIX=/path/to/mono/prefix:/usr`, which will "fallback" to using the
/usr/lib/mono/gac GAC to find assemblies if they're not present in your
parallel install).
