It appears to be related to the 'Could not set X locale modifiers'.  This is
caused when the call to xlib's XSetLocaleModifiers fails.  Unfortunately, I
have no idea what that means, and nothing even remotely close to that in
winforms changed between p2b (r124994) and r1 (r127778).

Locally (OS11/x64), I got the message on my first run, and the enter key did
not work.  On subsequent runs, I was unable to get the message again, and the
enter key worked.
