This is still broken in MonoVS 0.2p2. I tested it on WinXP i586.
Steps to reproduce (make sure you're using a winforms app):
1. Open Visual Studio.
2. Create a new winforms project.
1. File
2. New Project
3. Visual C#
4. Windows
5. Windows Forms Application
3. [The Linux server should be running.]
4. Mono->Run Remotely in Mono
5. Select a server, then click "Ok"
6. Right click the tray icon, choose "Stop".
7. Notice that the tray icon disappears, but that the winforms app running in
linux stays there.
