I forgot to check something else: I found a 4th bug.
If you set the vertical padding of the TabControl to a higher value (like 30:
this.tabControl1.Padding = new System.Drawing.Point(30, 30);), then tabs should
be quite tall with the text centered vertically. Mono simply ignores the
vertical padding, and the result still looks the same as in the screenshot
above.
