Hi Jonathan,
Sound like a regression :-)
Take MonoOSC at http://monoosc.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/monoosc.tar.gz
Open it with Visual Studio, on all winForm and User Control, set the
localizable property at true.
Run it, and play with it,
Now open it with MonoDevelop for linux, play with it again.
Again, translation make incorect drawing.

I also noticed, a form with text "a" "b" "c", if localizable is set at true,
VS, will write "a" "b" "c" in the .resx file, if you change the default
language for french by example, and don't change any text/ressource, VS don't
create the .fr.resx file, now if you change only "a" for "z", it will create a
fr.resx file with only inside "z", that's work okay under windows, but under
linux, if you run the sample app, and you are with culture french, only "z" is
loaded, you don't see "b" and "c", i saw that in a treeview, which i translate
only the root node, i didn't saw child in french but saw them in english
