Maybe something in mono-basic changed?  Is VB good in the Linux 2.4 install?

Also, the auto-magic creation of .lnk file is apparently _not_ new, see the dir
below.  It's appearance here is probably just a side effect of the change, so
maybe this case will go away once the original issue is fixed.
