Martin,

No problem.  My vacation didn't allow me the time to bisect the kernel...
really need to get a laptop.  *shrugs*

In any case, I was planning on doing the bisection process tomorrow and the
next day.  My hope is that I can use UML to run the tests, but if not, I have
time for several reboots... :-P

By my estimate, it should take me about 8 hours to fully bisect the problem (17
minutes to build, ~20 minutes to test between rebooting and all of that, for 13
kernel revisions).
