Ok, could you guys please test this patch for me ?  It seems to fix the issue
for me on a newly installed SuSE 11.1.

You need to apply the patch against the 2.4 branch or trunk.

Tomorrow, I'll also merge the changes into 2.2.

I'll do some more testing tomorrow, but I need to go to bed now.
