I can't really tell for sure what's happened given the information you
provided. The most likely causes are:

1. out of memory condition (apache could've been sigkill-ed or sigabrt-ed)
2. you exceeded the maximum number of open file descriptors (defaults to 1024
on most Unix systems).

I would say #2 above is the more likely one. I'm going to degrade the severity
of the bug, as it is by no means critical and is not reproducible easily. I
will also set the status to NEEDINFO, because of the unreproducible nature of
the crash. While doing that, let me say that I'm working on a more robust
mod_mono which should be available with Mono 2.6 or 2.8.
Let me also note that we do not support MVC applications on Mono at this time.
