I was testing under Windows 7 x86 RC and XP (both .NET 3.5) The assembly was
first compiled with Mono's ilasm2, but I also compiled it with MS.NET's ilasm
=> same exception.

IMO, given how weird the FieldSetter/Getter APIs are, there is no wonder that
it doesn't work.

Just to be sure, I've wiresharked a MS.NET session over the TcpChannel: the
first argument to FieldSetter/Getter() is really the instance type name.
