Here's some extra debugging info that everaldo requested:

When VS is stopped at a break point, I see:

rupert at linux:~> ps -ef|grep 7777|grep -v grep
rupert   16014 15731  3 21:02 pts/1    00:00:03 /usr/bin/mono --debug
/usr/lib/monovs-server/monovs-debug-server.exe tcp-pipe://151.155.154.72:7777 1
rupert at linux:~> 


After I hit "stop" in VS, I see:

rupert at linux:~> ps -ef|grep 7777|grep -v grep
rupert at linux:~>
