Glad to hear that it is fixed. However, I can't find the fix. Which file was
patched? Is it in subversion? Revision 124408 of TdsConnectionPool.cs still has
the mentioned empty catch block that prevents timeouts and other connection
exceptions to propagate to user code.

I have patched the bug myself for the time being so I could continue my .net ->
mono porting, but I'd rather see mono fixed for the benefit of all than keeping
track of my own patches locally.
