This *seems* related to the code instrumentation (and in fact is not limited to
the logging profiler, AFAICS any instrumenting profiler triggers this).

So, as a "workaround" while I'm fixing it, you could use the statistical
profiler which works fine.

BTW, is this x86 or amd64?
