Also, this doesn't seem to have passed 'make compiler-tests'.  I'm getting the
following regressions that test this exact case

gtest-236.cs...    REGRESSION (SUCCESS -> EXECUTION ERROR)
Wrong return code: 3
gtest-237.cs...    REGRESSION (SUCCESS -> EXECUTION ERROR)
Wrong return code: 3
gtest-239.cs...    REGRESSION (SUCCESS -> EXECUTION ERROR)
Wrong return code: 1

Please revert.  The original testcase appears buggy.
