Description of Problem:

After a call to RichTextBox.Clear(), the behaviour of the RichTextBox class
gets pretty strange.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Build a form with a RichTextBox named "richTextBox1"
2. Run the following code:


richTextBox1.Clear();
richTextBox1.AppendText("test");


Actual Results:

The text "test" does not appear in the gui. Also richTextBox1.Text does not
work correctly anymore.

Expected Results:

The text should appear, since richTextBox1.Clear() should do the very same as
the following line (that works fine):

richTextBox1.Text = string.Empty;

How often does this happen? 

Always.
