Can this be made configurable (i.e. non-default) in the runtime for those who
accept that behaviour isn't guaranteed?
Ditching the whole process for the sake of a null pointer dereference in a
non-OS/non-Mono native class library seems like overkill to me.
Part of my application's purpose is to test for such problems in the first
place.
