The patch I added to gtk-sharp is here:

IIRC, I added that patch because mono improved its lazy loading mechanism which
caused some dependent assemblies not to be in the AppDomain yet that previously
were already loaded.

If there is a more reliable way for gtk-sharp to load those dependent
assemblies, I'm all ears.
