Thomas, if you attach a tar containing one of these apps I'll take a look at
what's happening.

I appears as if there's a .resources file compiled with resgen2 which is then
used in an assembly built with mcs (targeting the 1.0 profile).

If I recall correctly, we did not have support for writing 2.0 resources in
1.9.1, so that may explain why it worked before.
