I don't know why class/Novell.source is absent, as it's certainly in svn:

http://anonsvn.mono-project.com/source/trunk/monodoc/class/Novell.source

The missing "\" in Makefile.am has been fixed.

Note: for Mono 2.2, documentation generation has moved to mcs/docs.  See:
