Cache leak fix

Hubert, please try the attached diff - it's been committed to svn trunk in
revision 115861 and backported to the 2.0 branch in revision 114502. I've run
your test case with the fix applied, the leak is not occurring anymore. If you
can confirm it on your servers, please close the bug.
