Juraj, when making your changes please implement them only for 2.0, leaving the
1.x code untouched. Also, keep in mind that the hierarchical approach might be
a bit more complex in terms of both implementation and time consumption - cache
is a critical component, so it needs to be carefully tested for performance
impact. Thanks!
