Ok, committed my changes - r119723 in trunk.

There is now a new configuration option called `stop-on-managed-signals' which
is by default turned on in the cli and off in the gui.

Since it's a configuration option, you can also change this in the cli
(config -stop-on-managed-signals)

This currently applies to the signals I mentioned in my last comment.
