Ok, I'm not having this. You recommended 1.9.x, I've tried that and it's
*still* broken. Just how hard can shutting down a process be ! There's no
guarantee that these patches will fix anything more than the previous lot.

Just give me some constructive suggestions as to how to debug this please and
I'll try and sort it out myself. This is a blocker bug for me as f-spot hosts
all my family photos.
