Valgrind is useful to debug issues with unmanaged code, been it from mono, an
embedder or third party libraries.

It's not very helpful to perform tasks like managed code profiling or heap
analysis. For such cases the tooling provided by mono is the way to go. Take a
look at heap buddy and our profiler.
