For what it's worth, I confirm that the current behaviour is wrong.

Also, if one accesses the Result property after cancelling/failure, then the
specified exception doesn't occur either, see bug 328830.

It would be very useful for a full set of tests can be created to show its
behaviour under all circumstances.  They tests needn't be WinForms based
either, as the BackgroundWorker can be used anywhere.
