I thought this wasn't the right way to go, and that we should just handle
DestroyedEvent in the namescope.  while this is still possible, it turns out
that we can use ref/unref.  I just had to add code in collection.cpp to
properly unregister a name when the object was removed from the collection.

I've checked in that code, and so marking this bug fixed.
