This seems to be completely broken on r107293 (haven't checked yet to see which
actual revision broke it), at least as far as OS X is concerned.  I ran the
same code(referring to the original code provided in this report) against
r105396 on OS X and it runs just fine.  The same is true of r105700 on Linux
(Haven't updated to r107293 (or whatever the latest head revision is) on Linux,
though I will do that today just to verify this is not an OS X specific issue.
